KEY MESSAGE 1 DESCRIPTION...

Return flow around high pressure south of New England will allow a warming trend to continue into Monday when highs south of the mountains push into the upper 60s to low 70s. A weak cold front crosses during the afternoon bringing some clouds and some showers near the Canadian Border. A new Canadian high pressure system builds in behind the front with highs on Tuesday in the 40s and 50s followed by overnight lows in the 20s.

The high starts to shift offshore Wednesday and Thursday allowing temperatures to moderate again. Another weak front crosses late Thursday into Friday bringing low chances for showers. High pressure returns behind the front providing mostly dry weather to close out the week.

Aviation

Through Monday: Mainly VFR. Fog did form at LEB early this morning and have gone with a persistence forecast there tonight. A front crosses Monday afternoon and evening that could bring TEMPO MVFR at HIE.

Outlook...

Monday night-Thursday...Mainly VFR. Steady NW winds MOnday night into Tuesday will likely will become light and variable again late Tuesday through Thursday.

Friday: A front crosses Thursday night and Friday that could bring MVFR to the mountains. Otherwise, conditions likely stay VFR.
