Key Messages

Updated at 1132 PM CDT Fri Oct 23 2026

- Above average high temperatures and predominantly dry weather will continue through at least the middle of next week.

- Higher rain chances may return by the end of next week into the following weekend.

Short Term

(Through Saturday) Issued at 1132 PM CDT Fri Oct 23 2026

Temperatures will warm well above normal again Saturday despite a continued increase in high level cloudiness. Afternoon highs will once again reach the lower 80s in most places with relatively light south to southeast winds.

Long Term

(Saturday Night through Friday) Issued at 1132 PM CDT Fri Oct 23 2026

With a couple minor exceptions, little change in the weather pattern is expected until late next week. An upper level disturbance may result in a few showers in the northwest part of our forecast area Monday night into Tuesday, and a second disturbance may result in a few more showers Thursday night into Friday. Otherwise, well above normal temperatures will continue through next week, especially for daytime highs. With low dew points continuing, lowered nighttime lows below the NBM the next few nights, especially in the normally colder spots.

The next chance for significant rainfall looks to come around next weekend, and we may finally get a decent cold front in here right around the first of November, but we will just have to wait and see on that.

Aviation

(12Z TAFS) Issued at 618 AM CDT Sat Oct 24 2026

VFR conditions along with high clouds and easterly to southerly winds are forecast for the CWA through the TAF period.
