Discussion
KEY MESSAGE 1...Generally dry weather through next Saturday. Drought conditions will worsen.
KEY MESSAGE 1 DESCRIPTION... The big story is dry weather persisting. Mild and dry this (Sunday) afternoon with temperatures 60-65 and relative humidities mostly 20-30 percent.
A cold front will move through from north to south during the day Monday and into early evening, but again, the front is severely lacking deep moisture and we are looking at just a chance of showers, mainly in the north. Any rain totals should be less than 0.10 inch, and many places will get nothing.
Seasonably cool Monday night to Wednesday with high pressure building in. Tuesday night looks quite chilly with upper teens to mid 20s. Afternoon relative humidities will be quite low Tuesday/Wednesday with 30-40 percent in general.
Warmer Thursday ahead of the next cold front, which moves through Thursday night into Friday. Yet again, this front does not tap into any notable moisture, and we are looking at just a chance of rain, with any rain that does occur likely remaining less than 0.10 inch.
Dry into Halloween, but uncertainty increases as we head into Sunday/Monday/Tuesday. Some models/ensembles bring hope of some wet weather, but there is substantial uncertainty and nothing we can call a sure bet for rain yet.
Aviation

W wind 5-10 kts, becoming NW 10 kts with some gusts to 20 kts after the cold front moves through at Aroostook terminals around midday/early afternoon. Chance of rain showers Aroostook terminals.
Monday night...VFR. NW winds 5-10kts.

Wednesday-Wedneday night...VFR. WSW winds 5-10kts.
