Forecasters' discussion
From the National Weather Service office in ILN, issued 1 hr ago
What Has Changed
No significant changes.
Key Messages
1) Dry conditions will continue through the week.
Discussion
KEY MESSAGE 1) Anomalous mid level ridge extending from the lower Mississippi Valley into the Great Lakes will gradually lose amplitude during the early part of the week as several pieces of energy lift out of the western US into the Great Lakes. Flow will briefly become zonal mid week with low amplitude ridging returning late in the week. At the surface, a weak front will sag south into the area Monday into Monday night and then wash out by Tuesday night into Wednesday. Otherwise, high pressure will predominate. Low to mid levels will remain dry through the week, so the extended dry period will persist.
Temperatures will remain above normal, but daily diurnal ranges will narrow a bit as lows warm up into the upper 40s to lower 50s by mid week.
Aviation
Visibility restrictions will occur at KLUK again late in the period. Otherwise, just some high clouds passing across the region. Winds will remain light east to southeast.
OUTLOOK...No significant weather expected.
