What Has Changed

No significant changes to key messages. There could be some fog along area rivers and lakes through sunrise. Aviation discussion updated for 12z TAFs.

Key Messages

- 1. Dry weather continues this week with gradually warming temperatures through Saturday.

Discussion

Key Message 1: Dry weather continues this week with gradually warming temperatures through Saturday.

Main adjustments this morning is due to satellite and area webcams showing some fog development along area rivers and lakes. This should be most noticeable near sunrise, then quickly be burning off as the sun rises and better mixing starts towards 12z-13z.

Otherwise, minimal change in the overall forecast thinking with the extended dry period most likely continuing through the end of the month. Upper ridge will slowly translate east through the week and flatten out by Thursday, while surface high pressure remains anchored over the northeast and ridges south across the eastern seaboard. This will result in slightly warmer temperatures each day with fairly high confidence given very small NBM IQRs through Saturday, so expect a continuation of warm days and cool nights this week. Temperatures should reach above normal values by Friday and Saturday as the pattern starts to show some signs of shifting, with the next chance of rain returning to the forecast for the first day of November.

Aviation

Mainly VFR conditions expected to continue through the TAF period. Exception may be at AGS where brief ifr visibilities may be encountered through 13z due to potential river fog formation there. Outside of that, mostly clear conditions expected with mainly just some thin cirrus passing through the region. By mid morning, light winds out of the northeast are expected to develop, continuing through sunset, then light and variable to calm again overnight.

EXTENDED AVIATION OUTLOOK...No significant aviation concerns through the week. A few to scattered high VFR clouds may move in Wednesday and Thursday due to onshore flow, but otherwise remaining dry.
