- Quiet Weather through the Weekend
The dry weather pattern continues this week under upper and surface ridging. The next chance for rain is not until early next week. A slowly progressive pattern sees the ridge being flattened by northern stream troughing early next week with a cold front bringing showers while slowly pushing south through the Great Lakes.
- Height falls with showers then cooler next week
There are some indications the front could stall near Lower Michigan with a surface low moving along it for Tuesday or Wednesday. Upper troughing follows with the potential for sharply colder temperatures for the rest of next week.
Aviation
Issued at 122 PM EDT Wed Oct 21 2026

Marine
Issued at 202 AM EDT Wed Oct 21 2026
