Forecasters' discussion

From the National Weather Service office in PBZ, issued 2 hrs ago

What Has Changed

No significant changes to the forecast.

Key Messages

1) Dry conditions and near to above normal high temperature with light frost chances prevail through the weekend.

Discussion

KEY MESSAGE 1... Little change in overall pattern is expected through the period as surface high pressure and varying degrees of upper ridging continue into early next week. Expect near to above normal high temperature with potential for larger diurnal temperature swings, dry weather, a preponderance of sunshine, and periodic occurrences of morning frost (favoring areas where the growing season has ended). LREF probabilities of measurable precipitation through 2pm Monday remain less than 15%.

Aviation

A high-confidence VFR forecast continues through the week. The only localized impact will be morning river valley fog, once again most likely to impact HLG and FKL between 11Z and 13Z. Otherwise, a clear sky and a variable or light north to northeast wind can be expected into this evening, calming overnight.

Outlook... Outside of any morning river valley fog, VFR is highly likely through Sunday under high pressure.
