Key Messages
Updated at 721 PM EDT Tue Oct 20 2026
- Dry weather dominates the forecast period, with cool mornings and pleasant afternoons each day. Afternoon relative humidity will remain on the lower side as well.
Discussion
Issued at 118 PM EDT Tue Oct 20 2026
Morning fog along rivers and lakes will be possible again late tonight as cold air moves over warm waters. This will probably repeat each morning for the next several days. Otherwise, we will have dry and sunny weather for the remainder of the week as a large mid/upper ridge builds to our west in a blocking pattern, and gradually shifts east.
One adjustment to the forecast grids will be to lower dewpoints, which have been too high in the NBM today. Went with NBM 10th percentile for the daytime hours through Friday.
Aviation
(00Z TAFS) Issued at 721 PM EDT Tue Oct 20 2026
High clouds will dissipate over the next few hours. VFR conditions will continue this TAF cycle. Light northeasterly winds will become more northwesterly tomorrow.
