The internet has exploded with discussion about what this means for Xbox and gamers in general, but while many are focusing on the biggest IPs that Activision Blizzard brings to the table, I think it's equally interesting ... ...

Application is fully written in C++, if it matters. In order to provide information on what's happening Application routinely calls syslog() with appropriate parameters. This seems to work but close inspection of /var/log/messages shows blocks of logs arriving completely out of sequence generating "jumps" back in time of several minutes. Specifically I have one task that logging (among other things) a sequence number (a strictly incrementing counter, really stupid ... ...

Merge two audio files, aligned to the END of the file

askubuntu.com > questions

my phone system records each leg of the audio (transmit and receive) separately. I have a tool we use that requires a Stereo audio file to function (transmit = left channel, receive = right) my problem is, the two recordings are of different length based upon when each channel sent its first RTP. is there a way to use SOX to merge audio while aligning the END of the file? I am currently using sox -M $inbound $outbound target.wav but that is aligning the start of the files, which makes it sound like we're answering questions before they are asked. From ... ...
